BRIDGE-in Agriculture Roundtable: Addressing the Hurdles to Financing Youth and Women-Led SMEs

GCYE has been invited to nominate members for the second high-level roundtable hosted by the BRIDGE-in Agriculture program. The discussion looks at the real barriers that stop young people and women from getting funding for their businesses, and what banks, investors, policymakers and support organisations can do about it. Six to eight speakers from across the financing and enterprise space will sit at a central table, with the audience seated all around them. The audience will be young entrepreneurs, women-led SMEs and others working in Ghana's agricultural value chains. It's a chance to hear directly from people who make funding decisions, share your own experience and build useful connections. Objectives: • Identify the practical barriers youth and women-led SMEs face when trying to access finance. • Discuss financing, de-risking and capacity-building solutions that can close those gaps. • Connect entrepreneurs with financial institutions, investors, policymakers and support organisations. • Find concrete opportunities for collaboration that increase the flow of capital to young and women-led agribusinesses.
